After graduating from the prestigious Academy of Theatre (ATKA/AHK) in Amsterdam, she was invited to join the actors' ensemble of the National Theater in The Hague. Here, she continues to expand her love for and experience in theater. She has already starred in the plays The Years and Yerma, directed by Eline Arbo. Next season, she will play one of the female leads in De Vier Seizoensboeken by Ali Smith and Brown Sugar Baby, directed by Eric de Vroedt.
She also recently starred in the television series Follow de SOA and in the German TV series Der Amsterdam Krimi. She plays a lead role in the short film Guilty, directed by Rosa Stil and Kate Hummel, which premiered at the Nederlands Film Festival. June is passionate about developing stories centered around black female characters, both as an actress and in her writing and film projects. With courage and energy, she works on empowering the industry, enjoying the opportunity to bring fresh perspectives to conventional Western narratives and viewpoints, using her absurdist humor and driven by a deep love for acting.
